The CMI (Cooperative Marketing Initiatiave) was started in 2003 by 10 Hotels and 5 allied members. Today, participants include 20 small hotels, activities and attractions, retails shops and destination management companies. We are “Strategic & Corporate Partners” with Seaborne Airlines, Havensite Mall Association and the West Indian Company Limited.
Our Vision: To secure a global marketing presence and awareness that will generate, grow and sustain demand for our destination.
Our Mission: To maintain the equitable self generated fund that enables the HTA to take the leadership role in planning unified and consistent marketing efforts.
Current initiatives include: aligning with the Department of Tourism’s Marketing Plan, website pay-per-click and search engine optimization enhanced programs, social media campaigns, destination promotions, consumer driven tradeshow attendance, industry partner reservation center and travel agent trainings, and our Destination Symposium.
